How to get here by Car!

You take national road 48 to the crossing towards Poï Yopon, hamlet located on the seaside just opposite Koh Sdach. The RN48 winds between Koh Kong and Sre Ambel which is located on the RN4, Phnom Penh - Sihanoukville. From RN4, the crossing towards Poï Yopon is only 5 kilometers after a 2nd bridge called Andoung Teuk. From there, turn to the left and follow the board DARA SAKOR / GOLF COURSE on a wide asphalt road (55 kilometers). When you drive along the lake, turn to the right up to Poï Jopon. A boat will drive you in 10 minutes to the hotel where a welcome drink will await you.

You can also come with a private car or a taxi (from Phnom Penh or Sihanoukville, 4 to 5 hours, minimum $80)

Many regular buses operate the Phnom Penh-Koh Kong or Sihanoukville-Koh Kong routes. You get out the bus at the Andoung Teuk bridge regular bus stop. The bridge is located only a few kilometers far from the crossing towards Poï Yopon.

A van is leaving Vee Rang (you can go to Vee Rang from Sihanoukville with a taxi - 1 hour, $2.5) everyday around 11.00am towards Andoung Teuk and then Poï Yopon (4 hours from Vee Rang, minimum $7.5).

Another van is leaving Phnom Penh everyday around 9.00am towards Andoung Teuk and then Poï Yopon (5 hours from Phnom Penh, minimum $12.5).

Travel by Boat

You join the seaside town of Sihanoukville ("Kompong Som" in Khmer). Once on the spot, you go to the harbour. Everyday one or two boats are leaving between 12.00am and 2.00pm, from the "Royal" pier ("phae royal" in Khmer) or from the "Thmor Sor" pier ("phae thmor sor" in Khmer) close to each other.
Those not very comfortable but so typical wooden boats will cross the Gulf of Sihanoukville running along several islands for 4 to 5 hours up to Koh Sdach.
We shall wait for you at the port to drive you towards the hotel where a welcome drink will await you.
Cost of the crossing: minimum $10 a person (negociate!).

Various types of motorboats of all sizes and from the slowest to the fastest (45 min.), can be rented in Sihanoukville for a custom-made private crossing.

Our very favorite is the sailboat of Captain Ronny which will make you spend an unforgettable day by trailing round between the islands (5 to 6 hours, $300, maximum 10 persons, included lunch and snorkel gear).

    Cambodia

Susaday !                             «Welcome to the Kingdom of Wonder»

Hands united in gesture of prayer, Cambodians welcome the visitor. Cambodia offers him its landscape of luxuriant jungles and wild mountains where smiling and cordial people wait for him.

It offers him brilliant whiteness of its fine sand beaches and its virgin islands, lined with a transparent water. Here, the saffron yellow dress of the monks gets loose on the soft green of the new rice plantations whereas the sun makes the water of rivers sparkle. There, the impressive ruins of palaces and temples remind a glorious past.

With the apogee of Angkor, Cambodia was the strongest and the most prosperous empire in Indochina and Angkor Wat, the largest city of the world. Everywhere, pagodae and representations of the Buddha testify of an alive, and at the same time, ancestral and modern religion.

Phnom Penh, made languid at the edges of Mekong, evokes exoticism and remains one of the ignored jewels of Asia. For ages, this city nourishes the travellers in search of adventures.

But Cambodia also offers to the visitor an incredible range of sports and leisure activities. Without speaking about the pleasure to do nothing else than to savor a fresh coconut in front of the sea, in the light of bougainvillaeas and the heat of a tropical garden.

Susaday ! It is the password, the key of an extraordinary disorientation and a constant delight.

    Custom Formalities

To obtain a visa, your passport must be valid 6 months after the date of your return. If the total duration of your stay does not overtake 1 month, you can obtain on-line an electronic "tourism" visa on the internet: e-Visa.

To be allowed to extend your visa beyond 1 month, a "business" visa is necessary. In all cases, you can obtain visas at the Cambodian embassy in your country or, more simply, at the border posts at the time of your arrival as well as at the international airports in Siem reap and Phnom Penh.

    Methods of Payment

The Cambodian currency is the Riel. However, it is the US dollar which will be most useful for you in this country. All shops and hotels post their prices in dollars. Only street shopping will be expressed in riels.

In the Hotel, you can pay the balance of your stay in cash with US dollars. You can change all main currencies accepted by local banks at reception.

Attention! On the island, there is neither bank nor ATM. Be far-sighted.

    Your Health

Although no particular risk exists on islands, we take care about you.
In the village, a good chemist's is held by a retired English and French -speaking doctor. Where necessary, a graduate doctor of a private school, 3 nurses and a midwife will provide first aid in the island health center, only 10 minutes far away from the hotel.
In case of emergency, a speedboat can bring you to the hospital of Sihanoukville within one hour or a private helicopter can drive you directly to the best hospitals of Phnom Penh. In all cases, we advise you to take an insurance covering expenses.
